NDSU Extension: Who We Are and What We Do

CEG Monthly Safety Moment: Hearing Protection

Description: The CEG has recently handled a spate of claims related to hearing damage. Damage to our hearing is especially devastating to workers because, in most cases, once hearing loss occurs, it can never be recovered. Join us as we talk about how to assess you worksite for hearing hazards and how to mitigate those hazards, with a focus on selection of hearing PPE.

NDACo is “retiring” the County Officials Academy and replacing it with a new approach under a new name.

The new event, “County Day at the Capitol” is planned to be a great opportunity for networking with other county officials AND LEGISLATORS on March 8th and 9th at the North Dakota Heritage Center. The focus of County Day will be entirely on legislative issues and how to engage with the legislative process.

Registration will open January 9th. A nominal fee of $50 will be charged to cover facilities and food. Those attending County Day at the Capitol will earn five ILG training hours at no additional cost.

Description: Getting caught in a blizzard is one of the unique potential hazards we all face as North Dakotans. It can happen while we are on our way to or from work, at work, or anytime really. One of the ways we can make sure we are safe is to prepare a winter survival kit for our vehicles, both work vehicles and personally owned vehicles. Join us as we discuss what a good winter survival kit should contain and some tips on what we should do if stranded in winter weather.
