Description: A cumulative trauma disorder, also known as CTD, is defined as the excessive wear and tear on tendons, muscles and sensitive nerve tissue caused by continuous use over an extended period of time. CTDs can develop from improper work positioning, repetition or force. Some estimates indicate that CTD’s may account for over 50% of all occupational injuries. From persistent back problems to carpal tunnel syndrome, up to 20% of all American workers will experience a CTD during their career. Join us as we examine CTD’s and discuss strategies and tactics for reducing the frequency and impacts of Cumulative Trauma Disorders.
