• This is temporary/seasonal position that will run from May through October.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES;
• Inspect parking lots and docks and report any needed maintenance to the Park Board and portfolio holder.
• Perform regular maintenance and repairs to all buildings, picnic areas, fish cleaning stations, and other facilities located in the parks.
• Inspect all dock heights weekly and make request for raising or lowering as needed.
• Pick-up litter and restock toilets.
• Ensure safety of all park visitors and campers by monitoring visitor/camper activities.
• Serves as primary contact for the public regarding park operations, hours, and other information.
• Direct and monitor contractors and contracted services for quality regarding mowing and trimming, stocking of supplies and litter/garbage removal.
• Report any major maintenance required to facilities to the Park Board and portfolio holder or assigned Supervisor.
• Perform routine landscaping, tree trimming, and other forestry services.
• Perform general cleaning and clearing of grounds, removing tree limbs and other items as needed.
• Inspect and repair picnic tables, benches, and playground equipment.
• Perform safety inspections of all park and playground equipment.
• Operate hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, brooms, and other hand tools in a safe manner.
• Operate machinery/vehicles such as skid steers, tractors, and mowers in a safe manner.
• Clean and maintain vault toilets.
• Assist Park Board and portfolio holder with obtaining contracted services as needed.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be 18 years of age, high school diploma or GED certified.
2. One (1) year of experience in general building maintenance, landscaping, or related manual labor.
3. Valid North Dakota driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Under supervision of the State’s Attorney or Administrative Supervisor, is responsible for handling open records and open meetings requests submitted to the State’s Attorney’s Office in accordance with N.D.C.C.§44-04 et seq. This position will also assist the State’s Attorney as Public Information Officer.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Associate degree with emphasis in the paralegal field preferred and four (4) years’ experience in performing paralegal activities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
• Coordinate with our criminal justice partner agencies on crime prevention and safety campaigns.

JOB DUTIES:
• Serves and the primary land use planning person for Burleigh County. Develops, reviews, researches, updates, and implements all zoning, platting, land use and environmental regulations. Develops land use policy alternatives and recommendation. Technically assist townships and small cities in land use regulation.
• Review and assist in the review of moderately difficult development proposals and site plans for conformance with building codes, plans and ordinances.
• Conducts site evaluations to determine compliance of proposal with appropriate township, county and state regulations and guidelines.
• Conducts pre-development meetings with developers, architects, engineers, surveyors, and landowners.
• Review and process subdivision plats for recording, rezoning requests, and land use permits (i.e., conditional use permits, variances) for compliance with county ordinances.

Under supervision of the Jail Nurse Supervisor, performs nursing care to jail inmates at the Detention Center. Is responsible for compliance with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
This position will be a rotating schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends. No overnight shifts required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform sick call duties on a daily basis.
2. Perform medication passes.
3. Ability to exercise discretion and caution when interacting with inmates in a safe manner.

9. Maintains accurate medical records of inmates in the Detention Center.
10. Respond to emergencies throughout the facility; injury and illness; performs CPR when needed.

12. Refer to or consult with other health providers in person and on the phone.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
1. Perform daily bank reconciliations and balance all bank accounts. Prepare journal entries as needed.
2. Monitor the general ledger reconciliation process, review corrections made, and review corrective journal entries.
3. Review and serve as backup for month-end processing.

Under supervision of the Burleigh County Sheriff, is responsible for inmates within the Detention Center, the protection of life and property, and to perform routine tasks in accordance with North Dakota law, rules and regulations established by the Attorney General of North Dakota and Burleigh Morton County Detention Center policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
You are qualified if:
• Current driver’s license
• GED or High School Diploma
• Ability to work shift work (see "Shift Schedule" below)
You are not qualified if you have:
• Any felony level convictions
• Three or more misdemeanor convictions
• Any use of hard illegal drugs (meth, cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, ecstasy, etc.)

SHIFT SCHEDULE:
This position is a shift work position. Every other weekend off, twelve-hour shifts with one-month rotations alternating between night shift and day shifts. Officers work a long week then a short week with this repeating. Long weeks are working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Short weeks are just Wednesday and Thursday. Officers only work approximately 14 days per month.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must successfully complete standard background and a criminal record check along with physical and psychological exams. Costs associated with these exams will be paid for by the county.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the protection, life and property of inmates within the Detention Center.
• Process and release inmates, determine the appropriate classification of inmates; assess and respond to the needs of special populations. Conduct visual and audio surveillance of Detention Center.
• Gather information in criminal and administrative investigations by interviewing and obtaining statements of victims, witnesses and/or suspects. Prepare investigative reports and determine probable cause to recommend disciplinary action.
• Perform searches of people; this may include inspecting unclothed inmates, which may include exposure to bodily fluids and wastes. Perform searches of inmate correspondence items, and objects capable of concealment. Detect and collect evidence.
• Pursue fleeing inmates, perform rescue operations, and effectively restrain an inmate with restraints, forcibly if necessary.
• Transport and escort prisoners, detainees and committed mental patients, using appropriate restraints.
• Perform other duties as assigned which may include but not limited to, preparing, and serving food, inspection of doors and windows to ensure security, and working rotating shifts.
