North Dakota Attendant Care Program
Purpose - North Dakota's Attendant Care Program provides short-term, non-secure supervision for youth who have come into contact with law enforcement due to an alleged delinquent offense and require temporary supervision. Attendant Care serves as a safe alternative to secure juvenile detention when secure custody is not warranted. Funding assistance is available to cities, counties, and tribes that establish and operate Attendant Care sites in accordance with the North Dakota Attendant Care Guidelines.
Program Sites - There are currently seven Attendant Care sites operating through North Dakota. Two sites are operated by counties, four are operated by private providers on behalf of local jurisdictions, and one is operated by a tribal agency.
Attendant Care sites may request reimbursement of eligible expenses using the Attenant Care Billing Template.
