When Policy Meets Practice: Reducing County Risk Through Consistency

Description: Having a good policy is only the first step. Many liability and employment issues arise not because an organization lacks a policy, but because actual practices do not match what the policy requires. In this session, the NDIRF will examine common gaps between written policies and day-to-day operations and discuss how those gaps can become significant when a complaint, claim, open records request, or lawsuit occurs.
