Conference Things to Know B4 You Go

Greetings Conference Attendees!

You can’t imagine how excited we are that you’ll be joining us for YOUR conference! A special welcome goes out to our First Time Attendees .

We want to make things as easy as possible for you, so you can focus on learning, networking and having some fun. Following is a list of some important reminders:

  1. Your safety is foremost on our minds. While COVID is no longer on everyone’s minds as it was just a few years ago, anyone who does not feel well for any reason should consider getting tested or just sit this one out. Follow the guidance from state and federal sources, especially if you are at high risk.
  2. The Conference Yapp App quickly becoming an essential tool for conferees to keep track of schedules, . Click this link: http://my.yapp.us/NDACO or scan the QR code at the bottom of this page using your phone or computer, and it will help you get set up in a few quick steps.
    • It’s an easy way to follow the schedule, and you can create your own personalized schedule by clicking “add to my schedule.”
    • Find maps, floorplans, directories, this “Tip Sheet” and more.
    • Rate/comment on any of the events and workshops.
    • Use the fun Social Feed (like Facebook) to share comments and photos with other attendees.
    • Click here for a video tutorial: https://prezi.com/v/view/jrd3VrspRCACvwULeEWh/
  3. SUNDAY = Radisson. Registration and the Welcoming Social are at the Downtown Radisson on 5th and Broadway - Repeat: NO Sunday events or registration at the Event Center
  4. Breakfasts:
    • Monday and Tuesday breakfasts will be held at the Radisson and Bismarck Hotel (formerly Ramkota). Even if you’re not staying at one of those hotels, you’re welcome to attend either one.
    • The NDACo Delegates Breakfast and Meeting will be Tuesday morning AT THE EVENT CENTER. If you currently serve on the NDACo Board of Directors or are a voting delegate for your County or Member Association, this is your breakfast (7:30 am).
  5. No buses this year. Free parking is available at the large lots between the Event Center and Kirkwood Mall (5 minute walk) and limited parking in the small lot directly adjacent to the east entrance. (Too many complaints and not enough ridership to justify the high cost.) Please plan accordingly.
  6. Stop by “Member Central” at the Event Center during the networking breaks if you have any questions about the conference or NDACo. It’s at the east end of the exhibit area. All attendees will get a gift for stopping by with the brightly colored card that will be behind your name badge.
  7. THREE WAYS TO WIN STUFF (and support the Scholarship Fund) Stop by to the left of the Registration Desk at the Event Center to learn how to turn your cash into chances at prizes. (There’s an ATM in the lobby if you run short).
  8. Monday evening THEME PARTY and entertainment!
    • We’re excited to bring you entertainment for a few hours following dinner Monday evening.
    • Dress for the theme, which will be announced by June.
  9. If you would like to earn ILG hours, get your badge scanned at any workshop. Your county will be billed $35 for each workshop you attend and get scanned.

  10. The Closing General Session Workshop offers FREE ILG credit AND, every county with one commissioner and one other official in attendance will receive one full conference registration free courtesy of the ND Insurance Reserve Fund.

  11. Wi‐Fi at the Event Center: When you get to the Event Center, we’ll have signs telling you what the passwor is, if any.
