This training will provide an overview of common behavioral health disorders, including the types of symptoms associated with particular disorders and general strategies for treatment and intervention.  It will also cover relevant data regarding jail and prison suicides, along with best practice strategies in suicide prevention, intervention, and response.  The group will review and discuss considerations in incorporating best practices into developing policy and procedure related specifically to suicide prevention, as well.
